Background and History:

Yoke Ching Lam is married to H.H. Datu Cheong Ming Lam. As wife of a Datu, she has the title of Dayang Dayang, meaning Princess of the First Degree. The coat of arms is ensigned with the coronet of a Royal Datu. Datu and Dayang Dayang are titles of nobility of the Sultanate of Sulu, a subnational monarchy in the Philippines.

Her Excellency may bear her arms either alone or in conjuction with the personal arms of her husband.

She is from Ipoh in the State of Perak in Malaysia and studied at the Smk Jalan Tasek School in Ipoh. She went into marketing and is a former Marketing Executive at one of the National Companies in Malaysia.
